The Safety Officer will be directly responsible for implementing and monitoring safety measures across multiple construction sites. The candidate must possess solid knowledge of UAE safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and must hold a valid SAARS Certificate.
Your primary task will be to ensure that all health and safety standards are strictly adhered to, thereby minimizing workplace hazards and promoting a safety-first culture on-site.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe practices or potential hazards
Ensure full compliance with UAE safety laws and company safety policies
Develop and implement safety procedures in line with international best practices
Enforce safety rules and monitor employee behavior across the site
Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and safety induction programs for workers
Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, near misses, and training
Report accidents or unsafe conditions to management in a timely and professional manner
Liaise with civil engineers, site supervisors, and project managers to identify risk zones
Maintain compliance with local municipality and Dubai Municipality safety standards
Supervise use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers on site
Actively participate in emergency preparedness plans and evacuation procedures
Keep your knowledge up to date on safety codes, regulations, and industry developments
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and safety certifications
Provide suggestions and practical solutions to reduce risk and improve site safety
To thrive in this position, the ideal candidate should have:
A valid SAARS Certificate (Safety Awareness and Risk Reduction Strategies)
1 to 2 years of safety experience in the construction industry
Bachelor’s degree (in Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred)
Knowledge of UAE labor laws and health & safety legislation
Familiarity with safety inspection tools, documentation, and reporting standards
Strong communication and presentation skills
The ability to conduct safety training sessions in English, Hindi, or Urdu
Proficiency in writing safety reports and maintaining compliance records
Alertness, quick decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
A proactive and responsible attitude towards workplace safety

Have prior experience working as a Safety Officer on construction projects in the UAE
Hold a valid SAARS certificate and are confident in enforcing safety protocols
Are physically fit and able to monitor large sites on foot regularly
Can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Live in Dubai or are willing to relocate to Business Bay or nearby areas
